  • Google Calendar ICS

Members of HBWC’s Citizen Science team will be participating in the Great Southern BioBlitz 2025 and you are welcome to join them.

The Great Southern BioBlitz is a global citizen-science event where communities, naturalists, and scientists work together to document as many species as possible within a four-day window — all using the power of iNaturalist.

We are planning to collect data from the new wetlands centre site in H D Graham Reserve, the Notla drain, and Laverton Creek estuary. This event will encompass a range of habitat types and species, to appeal to a broad range of participants.

You can also count birds on the day. This event aligns with Birdlife Australia’s Aussie Bird Count.
